Wow! It doesn't seem like all that much as happened since the last time we updated our blog, but I think this will be our biggest post yet! Guess we do have a lot of catching up to do:) School has started for McKay and I think he is really enjoying his classes this year. His homework seems to be more enjoyable and he seems to be learning a lot of fun new things.
Bridget and I have started watching this sweet little boy every Thursday morning while his mom goes to class. It's been fun to hold a tiny baby again - I didn't even realize how much Bridget had grown until I saw her next to him. She's growing up way too fast:(
We also had a fun visit with one of McKay's old mission buddies from Germany. Thanks to an unexpected encounter while at work, he and McKay were able to exchange contact info and set up a dinner date with us when he and his wife came down to St. George on business. We had a wonderful time!
McKay and I also celebrated our two year anniversary this month. He bought me a rose for each month we've been married and wrote a note on each one saying something he loved about me.
We went to dinner, set up our Christmas train and "rode" the train to Silverton, and watched our wedding video. It was a wonderful day:)
(That's a number two - not a peace sign:)
We also went to "Old Iron Town" this month and saw where they processed iron from Cedar City/Iron County back in the day. While there, we learned that the iron used to make the oxen in the St. George temple came from here.
Bridget continues to grow and grow! As you can see from the picture, she pulls herself up very well now and is learning to climb up the stairs (she's still working on being able to come back down). She even has two bottom teeth! (We'll post a picture as soon as you can see them a little better).
She loves to read books, play in/crawl through the living room shelf, pull books and movies off of the shelf, and have pillow fights with her dad.
I made the mistake of letting her play on the piano once and now every time that I try to practice, she drops whatever she's doing, crawls over to the piano, pulls herself up to reach for the keys, and cries until I pick her up and let her play.
The other day, McKay brought home some cardboard boxes and made a tunnel for Bridget to play in. She had an absolute ball! (No pun intended;)
